Mary The earliest census was taken in 1841 although it doesn't give as much info as subsequent ones. Jeanette |

What date was the earliest census ? I'm trying to locate who was in the household of Townsend House, Dilwyn, Herefordshire. I know Rev. Thomas Kyrwood Bowyear lived there around 1837 but that's about it. Can anyone help with this? If there wasn't a census, how can I find out ? Mary Brooke |
