Jacqueline, Just an advance warning before you go to Bristol records office. I found the search system quite complex and it takes a bit of getting used to, especially the census records with so many areas to access. The staff are quite helpful but you might well get used to the system first doing your own research and getting used to the localities before you take too much on board from here. To search any birth records you will need parishes as there are so many and you could be there for hours. If you go on Wednesday or Thursday B&A FHS have their search room open and are also very helpful. You may well be an old hand at this and have this information already, I apologise if this is the case. Bristol Library hold all the BMD. Good luck Marion
