Hi I was wondering if those stationed at barracks would be on the census records or stored seperately, if so where? thanks Kevin

My grandfather was shown on 1891 census in Farnborough. Am still trying to find his family on 1871 census when his father was in the army. Margaret

Hi Barry, I am not sure about overseas entries. I suppose they must be listed somewhere, possibly in Muster Rolls. That's a whole new ball park!! PS I have just been sent an address for Army Museums Ogilby Trust, it looks quite interesting and lists WO numbers for PRO sites records. It is:- http://www(.armymuseums(.)co(.)uk/ranks(.)htm Don't forget to remove brackets!! Margaret
