I am trying to get a copy of birth certificates of a Jane Haste we think from somerset. She was born in 1864 her father being Henry haste. There is confusion as we were led to believe she was a Sarah Jane haste. Also a John Lee born in 1856 fathers name is Absolom also we think of somerset. Need help please. Thank you.

Alison It might be worth you popping a note on to see if someone would be kind enough to do a census lookup for 1871 in that area. If you head it '1871 Somerset lookup please.' Regards Sarah.

Hi I have just found a birth reference for a Sarah Jane Haste in Bridgwater, Somerset in the June Quarter of 1864 the details are: Sarah Jane Haste 1864 Bridgwater 5c 460 you can order the certificate online with this information, there was also a marriage of a Henry Haste in 1852 in the same place: Henry Haste 1852 December quarter 5c 734 I have also just found a Sarah Jane Haste on the 1881 census the age is wrong by 9 years but thats nothing unusual but the birth place of Brigwater is correct. She is listed as a servant in Whitwell, Hampshire. There is also a Jane S Haste age 17 listed as born Cannington a servant at Lansdowne road, London and a Henry and Edith Haste listed as living at Frog Street,Cannington.
