Found these on FreeBMd (a database of births, marriages and deaths from 1837, but it is still incomplete!) Births Jun 1897 ------------------------ Binns David N. Bierley 9b 182a Binns David Henry Hunslet 9b 286 The first one looks like your grandfather as N. Bierley covers Thornton (West Riding of Yorkshire). 'Jack' could have just been a nickname!?! Chloe

This could have been his household (on same census page but not consecutive person numbers) Annie 34 Leeds, Wool anker Mary 11 Thornton Royal 9 Thornton David 3 Thornton in Wilsden, but no sign of Dad.

im trying to locate my grt grandad,was told he was jack david binns born 4th june 1897.nobody cud find him but my grandad told me he lived or was born in thornton.theres a david binns aged 3 on the 1901 census born thornton living in wilsden cud anyone give me more info on that david if poss???thanks kindly.xxx
