	Please can anyone help me with a family history My mother was born in 1916 in Battersea her name was Ivy Rose Ruff and I know she had 1 Half sister named Voilet who we called Lil and a sister called Kathleen also there was my Uncle Monty who real name was Albert? they lived in Battersea when I was quiet young when my Nan died we lost all contact and I have no way of finding out anything about my mothers family as I have nine grandchildren of my own who keep asking question I cannot answer if anyone knows anything I would be grateful Margaret

Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 505 Send Message	Hi Margaret, Ivy R.Ruff born december quarter 1916 Wandsworth 1d 1169 if you send for certificate this will give you her parents.On 1837 online mothers maiden name is Whitehead,there are a few families of Ruff's on 1901 census,one of them has an Ivy so It may well be one of her brothers who is your Ivy's father, 1901 census Joseph Ruff 44 Westminster builder Labourer Emma 43 Battersea Margaret 15 Joseph 12 Hubert 10 Ivy 4 Hope this helps, John
