Hi Cherie North Bierley was the Registration District that covered places on the edge of Bradford, including Thornton, so Jill's find will be correct. Stan

Cherie, Just looked on Free BMD. There are several deaths for Harry Binns between 1881 and 1901, but none that would tie in with the age of 3 in 1881. Might be worth asking for an 1891 look up for the family - see if he's still there then. Good luck Pauline

ive just bin on a few sites[my stupid computer wnt let me on them ahh not wot you need wen your on to something]on the 1881 census theres a harry binns age 3 b thornton hes blind,my grandads mentioned a child that died but no-one ever mentioned him,so very little is known by living relatives] he isnt on the 1901 census so i can only assume he passed away during this time.i cnt get on freebmd and ancestry put me onto a website called bancroft??cnt get onto that either.could anyone help narrow the gap i have to search,i could try 1837 online that way or any other ideas??thanx.xx
