Hi Maz. I can't find any marriage details of them either, it's driving me potty! I'm sure he must have gone into hiding! I know they must have married around 1922ish, as my Dad was born in 1925, and he was the 2nd eldest. But I can't find anything on them, just my luck. I got rid of one brickwall last week and now have another, oh well. Thanks Maz Regards Angie.

Angie - I recommend you get the marriage cert first, this will give you his father's name, which you can use as a checking point for the reg office when you order the birth. It will also give you wife's father etc. Maz. XX

Ken, Thanks so much for looking for me. I don't think this is the same Alfred Parkes, but I could be wrong. My Grandad is keeping a low profile for some reason. Unfortunatley my Father passed away in 1982, My Mother would have known but she also passed away a few years ago, and I don't see any of his Brothers or Sisters. I've come to a complete block on this one. Thank you for trying for me, I really appreciated it. With many thanks Angie.

Help, I am having real trouble trying to find my Granfather on My Dad's side. Any help would be very appreciated, and very welcomed. I don't really have a lot to go on apart from his name on my Dad's Birth Certificate, which was "Alfred Richard Parkes". born roughly 1900 give or take 5 years, in Middlesex, proberly Poplar but not very sure. and that he was a Dock Labourer. He married Grace Hogsdonin about 1920-1924ish. Any help would be so kind. Regards Angie.
