Cherie I don't know if you realise that the indexing is in alpherbetical order for each quarter. Jan-Mar you will not get a date of birth until you have the certificate. So when you have the Mar quarter they could be born 1st Jan. Also it could be out a day or two, this is what we found. My husbands granddad we always thought his birthday was 5.11 but we have found out it was the 15th May Dad's birthday, we think he changed it so as not to have it on the same day, strange don't know why. Hi Cherie Ive just looked your family up on the 1901 Robert was a farmer aged 62 living with Hannah and David in census area of Gringley, Lincs Catherine Emmingham 83 was also living with them. ?? Roberts mother Jonathan 28 probably married Mary Ann Smith in Sept 1895 . In 1901 they had a son called George who was 2 and they were living in the Ragnall area of Lincs. George was 21 and living in census area of Saxilby Cum. Robert Junior was 26 and living in the Ordsall area. Hope this may be of some use to you. Jane

o thankyou so much everyone!!!!!must be me,i will have to put in for an eye test.thats def rose,the date of birth for robert adds up but he married rose,not millicent???her name has been mentioned before on another query though,strange.thanks for looking for charles edward hall, my aunty thinks he came from bacup,lancs although were not 100%certain,the only thing i have for def is he died 2nd april 1981 in rochdale thats wot gave me his dob,maybe this is wrong??thanks for looking much appreciated.xxx

dnt know if my day cud get any worse,im beginning to think im really thick or my eyes sights failing me,as im the first to try and trace any family history i want to do it properly,getting certificates for my main relatives yet i cnt find any of them on the births on 1837online.need rose north born rockly,notts bout 1878[reg as 23 on 1901census]also robert emmingham,born aisthorpe,lincs 1875.and more recently charles edward hall said 11mar 1908 on his death records?? please will sumone help[need to know im not going doopy or blind,wud like to be happy on my birthday in 3days]thankyou kindly.xxx
