anyone got any ideas. Im so so so stuck on 2 of my relatives. First of all my ggg grandma was down as born in ohio america in 1852 yet, the printout sent by the office in utah doesnt have her on it. Her name was ellen jane atkinson and her father was down as thomas atkinson (i have her marriage cert) yet she grew up in a house hold named botterill. On the 1861 census she was named atkinson but was down as their daughter. secondly, im repeating myself cos ive asked several times is lawson merritt. He was last seen on the 1851 census as an apprentice cooper in beverley, east yorks. He is no where to be seen after that. He would have been about 16 years old in 51. Ive had a look on the ship list site but cant seem to make head nor tail of it. if anyone can help or has any ideas please help! lou |

It could be that Bottrill was her mothers second marriage. Just an idea to go on |
