I have recieved marriage cert today for my g granddad however i have noticed it says widower on his name, Is their any way i can find out who this was. John Davison age 26 widower 16 elm street father john davison Olive hardy age 21 spinster 3 north burno father thomas hardy both chester le street address any help with anything would be great, can i find out who else lived at address if so where from??? Thanks again |

You could try checking for previous marriage on freeBMD, just enter the years between when he turned 18 and when he got married the second time. Good luck Sue |
