I live in Kent and have found out that William Haslam b 1814 came from Salford. He married 1835 in Newington Surrey to Eliza Brockwell and they lived together in Merton Surrey. I have lots of info in Eliza but none on William. I am trying to find his birth in Salford or his death in Merton between 1871 (57 then) and 1881. Any help appreciated. Shirley |

Shirley There are christenings of 2 William Haslams in 1815 at Manchester Cathedral on the IGI - have you looked at these? Jane |

Jane Yes I did see those. The problem is the father is Samuel in both cases. I have not a clue if William had any brothers or sisters which would have been a help. I did think that if I could find a death in the Merton/ Croydon area between 1871 and 1881 that matched his age I could work back from there. Thanks Shirley |
