Help with a Norfolk birth record please

Can anybody help me trace the birth of ALICE MAUD MARY PLANE born Lowestoft c 1863. I can find no record at CRO, maybe a parish record is needed. |

Robert You may have had trouble finding a record because Lowestoft is actually in Suffolk, not Norfolk. I dont know if the Norfolk Record Office - my favourite place after home - has any Suffolk records, but i will take a look for you when i go later in the week.. regards Yvette |

Yvette As I havent yet got the hang of this system, I don't know whether you got my original response in which I told you that:- I made a mistake when I put Lowestoft as Alices place of birth, it shouild have been Yarmouth. I found an ALICE MARIA PLANE of the same age in Yarmouth Cenus lists for 1871 (Yarmouth N District 11) but she was living in a household with a women you was not her mother but had married a widower, George Plane, which is the name of my Alices father. There was no adult male at the address but my George Plane was a seaman and may have been at sea at the time of the census. I do hope I'm not confusing you Bob |

Hi Bob Just checked my emails and i have your reply, since i started this 'little' hobby my emails are only checked after i have looked in to the days worth of GC posts, lol.
