This is from the 1871 Index for Rotherham. I will fully check for other possibles tomorrow, but this one looks a likely. At Harthill on same folio numbers William Smith 40 B Thorpe Salvin Hannah 36 Woodsetts Elizabeth 6 Shireoaks Fanny 3 Harthill John 43 Harthill Sarah 43 Harthill Geoe 18 Todwick John 16 Harthill William 8 Harthill Fanny 2 Harthill

Desparately looking for my G.Grandfather on any Yorks census from 1861-1871, know he's a Smith and his brother was called George, born either Todwick or Harthill (both S.Yorks).George was born 4/4/1853. Thanks Barbara
