Many thanks John, I tried LancsBMD. (I think it is brilliant especially if you are searching for a marriage as it gives both parties). I started at 1842, going by dates from various censuses, and Mary's death certificate. She has been a very elusive lady! I will go back and order this certificate Thanks again Rosemary(Chelmsford)

Hi Rosemary, on lancashirebmd there is birth of mary cottrill at Stretford 1841.You can download application form from the site and money will be returned if father and occupation do not match.(at least I think this happens,it does with cheshirebmd) John

Please could anyone give me details of a Mary Cotterell/Cottrell/Cottrill born c.1843 in Stretford, father George, a labourer. Have had no succes with birth certificates so far. Rosemary(Chelmsford)
