Jill When I saw the Warehouseman I though yes but Birmingham, what would he be doing in Birmingham thats a bit far. I wonder, did he get his sister to come as Henry Thomas was born 1891 can't remember if he was on the 91 census but that does look to be possible. Thanks Irene

Jill The family were in the Lambeth area, Harriet Ethel only known as Ethel born in Lowden Rd Brixton 1886, and Edward was born 1896 in Walworth. all the children born in the in the same area but for Miriam the eldest for some reason was born in Southampton 1881, Arthur and Miriam were in the Lambeth 1881 census. They seemed to stay around the Herne Hill and Camberwell area of London, Can only think he moved out while his sister was there. Thanks again Irene

Jill Thanks for looking, this fellow is proving very difficult. I do have a ref for a birth of Ebenzer Arthur Hinton born 1848, so I wonder, this family is into changing their first names or missing them altogether if I remember the district was St Lukes, and that comes under islington I think. I can't even find a marriage for them so I can get his father. I do know Miriam Hinton's nee Harwood family, that was no problem. It took me long enough finding the family looking through the 1891 census in London. Oh well back to the drawing board and hope some other idea comes up. Thanks again Jill much appreciated. Irene

Arthur Hinton not sure if he has a second name. Found the family in 1891 but not Arthur he was there in 1901 so still alive. Arthur Hinton born abt 1848 either Ingatestone (1881) or London City (1901). He was a newspaper warehouseman 1896 so not sure if he was 1891. Trying to pindown were he was born. Would be thankful for some help this man (my husband's g granddad) has been bugging me for 3 or more years. Have just sent off for his sister Sophia Emily Hinton born 1841 Leytonstone, Sophia was with her sister in law and children 1891, born West Ham district. If you can help would be very grateful even if its another brick removed and not the wall. Irene
