The Mary Ellen Carberry in Chorlton, Oct-Dec 1908, was not married to a Thomas Hopkins. From 1837Online, no-one called Mary Carberry was married in 1909. I am running out of 1837 credits, but for Carberry you should only need to look at one page per quarter as there are so few of them, and right at the beginning of the CAR series. After looking at 1910 and 1911 you should find that the name of the spouse starts to appear in the index, so there should only be a limited number of entries to cross-check against the HOP series, if any. Best wishes Stan

Hi, I looked on the 1837 on line for marriages for you. The only one I could find was in the quarter Oct - Dec a Mary Ellen Carberry - Chorlton. There were no marriages by the name of Mary Carberry from 1907 to that quarter. If this is not the right person then you need to start looking from 1909 try freebmd.org. Diane
