Hi can anybody help me with an 1861 look up for Benjamin Riggs and family (hopefully including daughter Alice). I have an address from an 1865 London directory of 17 Globe Rd., Mile End. I have them at another number in Globe Rd., on the 1871 and his wife as a widow on the 1881 again at Globe Rd., Although this sometimes says its Bethnal Green Thanks Diane |

Linda You are a star, This is the first piece of info I have with Alice (my gt.gt gandmother) on it. I didn't have anything concrete on this family and in the last week it has all come together. If I can find Alice on the 1871 I'll be well happy. She wasn't with the family or at the address on her marr cert in 1872. Thanks again Diane |

Hi Diane Glad I found her for you. I just had a look on the 1861 name index, but I'm afraid she wasn't on there. Lynda |

Thanks again Lynda, It's strange because I got an Alan Godfrey map of Bethnal Green. On the back there is an abstract of a london directory and I couldn't believe my Benjamin Riggs was on it. All for £2.10. It's given me the 1861 entry I was looking for. Cheers Diane |
