I'm trying to trace JAMES DORNAN and MARTHA GOURLEY both Irish, they had my gr,gr.grandfather in 1874 (also James), don't know of any other bairns. please could someone check the Irish records, as there is no info on the Scottish records, can't afford Ancestry. No I'm not a typical Scotsman just a poor one, using ma' nebours computer. |

Hi Steve, I have checked the 1891 census for Ireland as well as all other countries, but cannot find a marriage between James and Martha. However there are 25 registrations covering the period between 1837-1983 for James Dornan. Also 5 immigration records. Where was James Junior born? This will help to narrow the place down? regards Eileen in Portsmouth p.s. I have printed off some parish and probate records for Ireland in the name of Dornan, would you like me to e-mail this to you? |

Are you talking about N or S Ireland? There is a vast difference in accession of records. Janet |
