Does anyone know if there is a register of Irish immigrants mid 1800's. My great grandfather and great great grandmother were born in Ireland (no idea where) and I wondered if there was any way of tracing Irish immigrants? Jenny

Hello Jennifer, I have the Morman Immigration Index covering the period 1840-1890, if you think this might help? Eileen in Portsmouth

Hi Jenny, you say you dont know where they were born, you must have names possible ages, have you looked on www.familysearch(.)org,if you go to the IGI on that site it has records of baptisms in Ireland and if you are lucky you might find who you are looking for.
