Like the other lady I have just started researching my family history. I have been given a massive folder of photographs from my fathers side of the family but have no idea where to start finding out who they are. Some original birth certificates date back to the 1700's! All relatives seem to be from the Manchester area and I can't find any of the names I do know on this site. |

File them away for the time being and start from the 1901working back. When you get far enough the documents and photos will make more sense. It sounds as though you have a treasure that most of us would kill for. |
