EDWIN TUCKER-I NEED HELP PLEASE

Does someone have an Edwin Tucker in their tree as a Great Grandfather, I have come up against a real brick wall, I can find no details on his son Robert and dont know where to look for Edwin, can find census details but none have a Robert with him, can find births but dont know where he was born, could be Devon or Somerset or Wandsworth. I know around the 1920's he was in Wandsworth something to do with the building trade on Tooting Bec common. Have contacted Wandsworth council, they can give me a listing for an Edwin Benjamin Tucker but still cant tie it in with my Robert. HELP!!! please I'm getting so frustrated. Regards Christina

Thank you all, yes I've been on Ancestry and lds, trouble is I can find them but cant tie them in with Robert. It complicates things even more when I looked up one of Robert's sons, Edwin J who died in India in WW2 the father of Edwin J is listed as John, I contacted them and they verified that the widow filled out the form. Mum says Robert was called Harry for his first few years, so now I have Robert, John or Harry. I can find listings for all of these in 1837 online but short of ordering all the birth certificates I cannot tie them in with an Edwin in any of the census. Yes I have looked at Edwin Benjamin he ties in very well but there is not a son by the names I have listed with him in the census 1891 or 1901. I cannot very well claim him, I could be wrong. I guess I have to start ordering certificates. Anyone out there look at an early electoral roll for the Edwin's in Balham, Clapham, Tooting areas? that may give a clue Thanks Regards Christina
