Can anyone help with New York birth records. I know my mother was born c1934 in Greenpoint Hospital, New York. I know I cant get a copy of the certificate because I dont know whether she is alive or not. I know also she was in San Diego in the late 60s early 70s, but may have been using the name Colleen Johnson. Anybody got any ideas for this time and area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am getting nowhere.

You cold try the New York State Library Genealogy Section For Census (Don't know what dates they hold but maybe worth a try or it might give a link to another site. http://www. nysl. nysed. gov/site#G (no spaces) Hope this helps Geoff
