I am trying to find a Johnson family,hopefully living in Redmires or Red Myers (Farm)at Wolsingham.I have them there in 1841 and their son Luke was living there in 1881 and 1891 and all of Lukes children were born here. names I have from 1841 are John age 45,Jane age 45,Isabella 11,John 8,Luke 5, Emma 4 and Jacob age 2 Thanks in advance Anna |

Anna, Do you know which parish in Wolsingham the farm was in, or if there was a lane name, and I'll try 1871 for you Kay |

hiya Kay all it says on the 1891 census is RedmireFarmhouse Wolsingham rural district and in the Parish of Wolsingham and on the birth certs i have it just says Redmires or Red myers Farm.It could be on Redgate bank or lane.We drove past it on Saturday,but it is on a farm track set back from the road! Hello Anna 1861 Census RG9/3727 Folio 65 Page 8 Sch.35 Redmyers, Wolsingham John Johnson Aged 72 Farmer of 70 Acres born in Northumberland ?Hishey? Jane Johnson Wife Aged 66 Born in Stanhope, Luke Johnson Son aged 23 Born in Frosterley and Emma daughter Aged 22 Born Frosterley. No sign of any other Johnsons at this location.
