Yes Stoke Damerel is the church, which, incidently is in Devonport.

Hi Joanne Thanks for the offer Could you look to see if there is a marriage between a Richard GRAY & Martha BENNETT say between 1837 & 1845 they are listed as being born in Devonport which I believe is in that area. I wish I paid more attention in Geography at school now. Thanks again Janice

Hi Joanne, Sorry they are not mine, Does it give occupation. Charles was a fisherman.also William James married Louisa Weeks, he too was a fisherman thanks for your help trish.

Hi Joanne, Sorry about before, the Charles F. Drake might have married at St.Andrews Church.or St Judes.Plymouth. Same goes for William Drake. Hope this helps. trish

Siobhan The index only includes Church of England marriages, it's possible he married in a different church or registry office. When funds allow I will purchase volume 2 which contains this information, but that's not much help to you now is it .
