Hi Julia Was just testing the water first! Have Walter Levermore (Correct) or Livermore (Livermore on 1891) born Surbiton. He would be about 1 year old on 1861, and 11 on 1871 Thanks if you can help lynda |

Lynda - he's as elusive on 1871 ancestry as he is on lds for 1881. Nothing comes up for him before 1891 census, which you already have. Has he any siblings so we could try some lateral searching? Jools |

Hi Julia No my mother cannot remember any siblings names. I expect it's another mistranscript, as he was definately around then and in Surrey. Ps did you realise I got age wrong, has been rectified to 11 in 1871. sorry lynda |

Hi Lynda You could try emailing the local history room at Kingston local.historyATrbk.kingston.gov.uk Thay have put a lot of records on a database and it would only take them 2 minutes to check their database. Let me know how you get on - as I tried searching for him on 1881 for you ( can't resisit that sort of challenge as I have some missing on that census too). |

Lynda and others - have a look at http://www(.)kingston.gov(.)uk/community,_people_and_living/rbdm/historical_records_of_births(.)htm all Kingston birth from 1837 to 1882. if you go to the file which covers 1858-59 K16, you'll find the elusive Walter Levermore, their ref. 19. The url above also explains how to get a copy cert. from them Jools |

A final message of thanks to Jooles and to let you all know she has found Walter's hiding place!!!! There is a record of his birth on that kingston site for 1859 and all I need to do next is order the cert from them. Now I really must get on with the decorating!!!! Thanks & goodbye for now. Lynda |

I totally forgot about the fact that they had some births etc online. Its still worth an email though Lynda ( when you are having a break from decorating) - they may have the census entry on the database. |
