Find Ancestors

I normally do my Norfolk based look ups at the NRO myself but i have just had a certificate arrive that has finally helped to solve a brickwall, and i can't get out for at least a week as i am housebound due to a small operation ...and i am NEVER going to manage to sit on this until i am allowed out, so could any of you great Gc people help me with your Cd's etc? Otherwise my husband is going to get very fedup with my whinging, lol. Details below:-

I have been trying to trace my gggrandmother Elizabeth Stebbings, nee Dixon. I now know she wasnt the Elizabeth in the workhouse that i had been tracking, instead she was the daughter of Arthur and Frances Dixon of Sporle, Norfolk. I have her marriage certificate and the 1881 census returns (and thanks to help so far the 1851 and 1891 census details)that give me the whole family, including some nephews. I now would like the 1861-1871 census for her family if possible and the marriage details for her parents, i have looked at the LDS site, but they have no record of her parents marriage, or fathers birth. Can anyone help me with this? Yvette

What year did Elizabeth born in? Sporle too? I'm on the ancestry right now and I see her aged 29 b. Sporle

Thanks to the kind help i have had so far today i now only need the 1861-71 census details for Dixon in Sporle, Norfolk to complete my set, also any leads on the marriage of Arthur and Frances, and any of their children via the VRI. Yvette

Tracy-Thanks for looking, i have had a good look on everything i can get to online, but havent managed to find any sign of a marriage for Arthur and Frances, i guess that will have to wait til i am mobile again ;-( Chris Thats them alright! Chris The other Dixon family is connected. Henry is the older brother of Arthur. I was aware he had a wife Sarah, but not of her possibly remarrying. This gets quite interesting though as i have them on the 1881 with a SON Thomas age 30, which is 3 years out age wise and looks like he is a natural son of Henry, however, Arthurs daughter Elizabeth married into the Stebbings family, and they are related to the Powleys! I am going to get a headache with this lot, i can just see it coming! lol. Thanks again Chris. Regards Yvette
