Find Ancestors

Lo people. I tried too and kept getting 'page not available'. Is this due to the 'Reunited' names change or am i just being paranoid???? Never had this problem before. Genes Reunited can you advise please????????????????????

Had trouble finding this thread as I keep getting Page Not Displayed every time I try to go to another page or back to the message board, and this has been happening for a few days, certainly since the name change. It is very frustrating, never had this problem before on this site, but glad I'm not the only one!

If that's the case then why don't they say, we all understand that maintance has to be done from time to time and it would save a lot of time as we won't keep trying. Still takes more than than twice trying to log on. Irene

As far as I could see, it didn't say "Server too busy" on this occasion so opening the floodgates to all and sundry probably wasn't the cause. Most of the sites which I visit are down from time to time for "maintenance work" and I don't see why this one should be any different.

NO you werent I couldnt get on either Just about to hit with a hammer ,when it came on around lunch time . there you go let all an sundry on your pages and look what happens ??? Regulars get pushed out. why oh why didnt they leave it as it was ?? G,C. BOB and JEAN.

Hi I've had trouble too, and it's been going on for a few weeks; as well as what people have mentioned about the site going down, I've found additional problems when posting - you click on the green thingy to post your message, wait ages and nothing happens, so you then click again and eventually the message seems to have posted zillions of times when you give up and go back to the message list. Could any of the problems we've been having be related to the site being renamed Genes Reunited? I much prefer the old name... Hope it sorts out soon Lysianne (apologies in advance if you get this in triplicate!)

Mel, You weren't the only one.. I asked the same thing to Max and she was having the same problem along with few others asking the same question.. Pity really .. I liked to see GC to improve on this, doesn't seem to do it well .. YET T

Me too. This is my 3rd attempt today. Its no wonder people are getting cross really. I think they should have sorted things out before now. If they are expecting, and have got, many new members with these changes, I feel they should have been more prepared. This is my last complaint!! I am fed up! Margaret

I was as well, I am on the point of leaving as I am getting fed up, all the time I have wasted just trying. A pity I only this week renewed my subs. I even emailed FR in desperation and told them I was getting annoyed and that if I couldn't get back on I will be asking for a refund as the site is not doing was it said it would. A pity because it such a good site and all the members who make this site so great are so friendly and helpful. But I don't see why I should waste anymore time just to pay to help others, ok I have had help as well and I am very grateful. Gripe over hope I start to feel happier soon. Irene
