Hi, Just as another thought, Have you checked your grandparents name on your Mums birth cert (or your Dad's if he was their son). I'm presuming you have ... but sometimes we start with the info that we know ..or think we know. Nobody I spoke to in my family knew half the information I have found since I started with my tree, if I'd followed what I'd been told, or thought I knew, I'd have ended up goodness knows where ( some folks wish I had done !!) most of the info was so wrong you wouldn't believe !! or possibly you would ! Just another avenue to think about ! Elaine :-) |

Kim, This must be her surely? 1920 June quarter Belton, Violet M mother's maiden name Hook Pancras 1b 244 Judith PS With the coincidence of mother's name and use of flower names I'd like to bet Rose is her sister - if she doesn't feature in your family info perhaps she died young. |

You can only view it on 1837 as far as I know (the same as me) and I don't know of any way of finding the address (except that we know it was in the Pancras district of London of course) Sorry - Chris p.s. as it is the correct maiden name and right area though I wouldn't dismiss it completely. |

you have me curious now, as hook was mothers name but have no roses in that side of tree, i dont think rose is short for another name but have just thought silly as it may be , violet is flower ,is there anyway i can view that info,or find an adress to go with it before i send for certificates, as really dont think there is connection there but am desperate to try any angle, think this is now showing how desperate i am.lol |

Did you get her date of birth by finding a death entry after 1983 as i have found (more than once!) that people give the wrong year as their birth year. Usually the month is right but even then i had one who was two years and a day out. You may have to check that month for a year or two either way. |

Hi Kim. I have just been in and had a look on 1837 for birth, but as you say, she isn't immediately obvious. You do have to check other spellings etc of course, as you probably know, names etc were often transcribed incorrectly. I checked April-June and July-Sept (in case she was registered late) I assume that you don't know her Mothers maiden name? This would be a great help as they are listed in 1922. I am afraid that I don't know of any other websites. Chris |

Hi, Cos your looking after 1910, you need to find your grandma's birth/death/marriage in the records on 1837online, and send for the cert. Elaine :-) If unsure about 1837online, just ask. |
