Just like Shan kent girl's? Who is driving you mental? Which ones are making you SCRREEEEEEEAAAAAMMM? One of mine is LAURA BESSANT, born Portsmouth, 2mths old on 1891 census, never heard of again! No death, not on 1901....

My Shawcross 's disappeared off the face of the earth before 1808 ....my Pennells went with them .... but the Warburtons knew where they were better off ...in Cheshire !! Elaine :-)

Oh yes my sympathy : ) THOMAS KIRBY were are you ???...........last seen on the 1881 census when you were a GROOM born 1863 Newport Monmouth Wales?!?!?!?!? Come 4ward and claim your family please LOL

My is two families Thomas Oyston b 1833 and George Taylor born 1852/3 I can find them after 1881 but before oh my headaches looking for them begining to think I am going mental !!!!!!! Maureen

hi sammy. youve all probably heard me whining on about 'william randall walker' b manchester 1845, found on a w cert in 1873, found on 1881, 1891 and 1901. but nothing before that !!! am going to manchester library, i am sooooo determined to sort this out . lol sue.

Sue ...while your in Manchester will you check see if you can find any of the following invisible people : Shawcross, Kirby, Fidler, Farmers, and anyone else who is connected to Shawcross please ! Elaine :-) Anyway, I want to be the first to know when you find your William Walker ........ OH while I think ... Louise in Stoke on Trent is also looking for William Walker but different age .... maybe you two should have a talk about your Walkers ! or have you done that already ? Elaine :-)

why not come with me. have decided not to go to the 'meet' in manchester. think my train fare would be better spent on a library visit. am hoping to arrange to meet denise , who lives there, [she is a member of gc ,a mine of info and lovely, cannot wait to meet her ] i have promised not to wear my flat cap !the day will of course include a pub lunch and a pint of bitter - can take the lass out of yorkshire but cant ........ you know the rest. it will have to be after school hols, and a weekday [library open longer. ] want to play out ??? lol sue.

What ? skive off sch for the day ... not go where we say were going !!! I'm game for that !! Might go to Manchester on Aug 10th, but will make most of the day and def visit Manchester Library ... I'm gonna see nearer to the time ... the only details I've had are from you and Gill in Eccles ... so haven't yet approached the possible childminder ! I'll know for def nearer to the time ...we'll see ! Elaine : got your email incidently ! :-)

elaine, do you have any areas - am doing my 1 hour sufferance tomorrow on the 1841 lancs ! i hour a week is plenty. i know the names , what are the areas, sue.will add them to my little list [ it comprises of w r walker and 2 more, for other people !]

Tell me about it. Have the name of my husband's grandfather on the b cert. It was then removed under sworn declaration. The name was then given at the baptism (but he gave different occupation. thought he'd get away with it that way), then it was struck off. He DEFINITELY didn't want to be found.....and still hasn't been. But I'll get him one day!!!!!! Jackie
