Thanks for the lookup Trish found the same details above. Not sure if it is him as I was expecting his occupation to be along the lines of a carman/cab proprietor as that seems to be the profession of his family. Suppose it could be him though. Just wish he was living with parents to give me some sort of lead. Regards, Siobhan

Hi Marion I know it is quite possible he was a cab proprietor when he was 20, but it seems the majority of his family, were in this profession, so it is pretty likely he was. He does put Bristol, Somerset for his place of birth in all the census's i have him in, so perhaps I should try Somerset as well. regards, Siobhan

He may not always have been a cab proprieter. In 1851 if he was around 20/21 he could have been doing anything to get employment as times would have been hard. I have rellies with several changes of employment throughout their lives. He may not always have used his middle initial either especially if someone else had given his name to the ennumerator. Hiya Trish Thanks for those details, I am not sure if they is mine though. As the Francis Nash I am looking for was a Cab Proprietor. Plus his middle initial D tends to appear in all census details and he was definately born in Bristol. The one who you found is around the right age though. Regards, Siobhan
