Hi Sally, Could you please try looking for a Edwin Talliss (usually transcribed as Tallis) I believe him to be born in 1847 in Warwick. Hoping to find him with his parents. Have an IGI for his christening (always dubious I hear!) showing his parents as Edward and Eliza. Would love an image if at all possibe, but even just names would make my day :) Thanks Ann

Hi Sally: Thank you for the offer. Bet you haven't had too many of these: I'm hoping you DON'T find anything for James Mumford, age 25, on the 1851 Warwickshire. Someone on GC/GR found a James Mumford (not positive he was mine), age 15, 1841 Census, Dunchurch District, Warwickshire, occupation- butcher j. If he was my ancestor I don't believe he would still be in Warwickshire in 1851. Keeping fingers crossed that you don't find him. :~) Thank you, Lisa.

Thomas Report 16 Aug 2004 22:46

Hi Sally, Thanks for looking but I dont think this is the right family. The surname I am looking for is Hollins and not Hollis. According to the 1881 Census John was born in 1849 and would only be 2 in 1851. Also Mary was born in Worcester and not Madeley, which is in Shropshire. Once again many thanks for looking Regards Tom

Sally, Trying to trace John Cooke, who gave a different age on every census. He was born in Coventry and his father was Thomas, a dyer. I believe he was born around 1848. Thank you. Jean x.

Hi Sally, Is there any chance you can find John Hollins, born 1849. Father Thomas, Mother Mary. Not sure where abouts in Warwickshire since they moved about quite a bit. Possible that they might not have been in the county at all for the census. Many thanks in advance. Tom
