Jackie I would be grateful for help with my great grandfather's family. His name is Christopher Boak (born 1859) who married an Eleanor Robinson. Lived in Newcastle upon Tyne and I have only been able to trace one child - Robert Robinson Boak (born 1880) who married a Margaret Proctor. I would be grateful for any help with further children of Christopher and Eleanor. Many thanks. Vivian

Hi Jackie, As you have Ancestry I hope you wont mind me asking you if you can find Alfred John Pillifant and his wife Alice Maud Pillifant whom I believe were probably living in the Eastney Barracks, Portsea (Portsmouth). Alfred was born in Topsham, Devon 1863, son of William and Jessie Eliza Pillifant. Alice was born in Deptford, Kent (Greenwich). They should have a son with them Frederick William born about 1895/6. Frederick William died aged 20yrs in 1916, at this time his parents Alfred and Alice were living Shakespeare Crescent, Manor Park, London. Hope this information helps. As far as I know, although there are various spellings of Pillifant, it was spelt Pillifant at this time. Other variations, Phillifent, Phillifant, Pellifent, Pellifant, Pillipant. I have been unable to find them just looking under the name, I think you will need to look under institutions and Eastney Barracks to find them. Hope this is not too much trouble, Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi Jackie, Would it be possible for you to look up Mark Walter Sedgwick married to Elizabeth Ann in the 1871 census. He would be 27 & she 22, they lived in Leeds. Mark's father was also Mark married to another Elizabeth, also living in Leeds, but as he would be 65 & she 61 I think they would have died by this time. Hope I have given you enough info for you to help me, thanks and take care Loll x. p.s. As I am not used to useing this message board yet I think I've also sent another message to you with this info. Sorry about that.
