As the title says, it's not indexed - so if you're after someone in Derbyshire, I'll need alot of details as to where they're living at the time of census. I'll be looking thru images after images so it will take time for me to search, you'll have to bear it with me! Would be great if you have families in 1851 & 1871 so I can look in between those two censuses, so please list them :) I must be mad to offer this, but sitting here twiddling my thumbs is NOT soooo good for me LOL T

Tracey, Please would you see if you could find my DOUGE family (may be spelt Doge, Doudge or Dodge). I don't have them in 1851 but they were definitely in Codnor in 1861 as I have birth certificates, unfortunately with no street name. In 1871 they were in Jessop Street. The family are: Frederick DOUGE/DODGE/DOUDGE born c1829 Shottle/Duffield area Mary born c1835 Duffield Elizabeth born c1854 Duffield Philip born c1858 Belper Mary born c1859 Codnor Many thanks, Emma x

Hello Tracy, Could you please look up a Joseph Hardwick possibly living in the Shirebrook area. He would be aged 21 (although he may have put something different as on other censuses!). He was born at Northedge near Ashover, Derbyshire. I believe that Shirebrook is Piece 2424 Folio 8-17 (info given to me by Robin Hood). Any help would be gratefully received. Russell

Emma, Codnor's in Ripley district I think, but it's a big place.. So it'll take time for me to search unless you know where about it is. I will carry on at later time.. Went thru 2 different district already.. another 4 to go ;) T

No Codnor Ripley 1861 Ripley, Marehay, Waingroves, Denby, Holbrook, Horsley, Kilbourne, Mapperley, Morley, Smalley, Belper, Heage, Crich, Pentrich, Codnor, Loscoe Basford Created 1st July 1837. Mainly in Nottinghamshire, but included parts of Derbyshire. Sub-districts : Basford; Bulwell; Carlton; Greasley; Ilkeston; Wilford. GRO volumes : XV (1837-51); 7b (1852-1930). Thankyou for looking Tracy, I must have misunderstood what Robin sent me. I know that Piece 2424 Folio 1-7 is in Notts, but the way Robin's help was worded indicated that 8-17 was in Derbyshire not Notts. Thanks again Russell
