Hi Nicola, Thanks for all the info you found on the census. I hope it turns out to be my James Wintle. If only it said he was born in Treforest like his brothers and not Newport I would be set. Do you know how I might get hold of the original census image as I would like to check if there are any mis-transcriptions? Clutching at straws! Anyway, thanks again. Best Wishes, Nigel

Hello Nikki, Many thanks for offers of help. Would it be poss to look up 1841,51,61, please. I am trying to trace the name Conibear/e. My g/grandfather Robert Conibear was living in Swansea in 1867 at Vincent Street. He is down on his daughter's (Mary Jane's) birth certificate as a master boot maker. His wife, Mary Ann, formerly Fry. I can only hazard a guess at the dates of birth, also have no knowledge of place of birth for either of them but it is possible that it was in the county of Devon. They had two other girls, ages unknown, Lucy and Alice. These two, I know lived in Devon later. Info a bit sketchy, I'm afraid but I would be grateful for any help. Regards Elvira

Hi Nicola I am hoping you can help me with a couple of queries! William RICHARDS born 1838 possibly in Cardiff. Father, also William RICHARDS (a milkman in 1858). I know this a long shot as it is such a common name but have come to a brickwall so any help is welcome! If you could check them on 1841 and 1851 census please. Also Caroline GLIDE born in Somerset c1836 and who married William RICHARDS (son) in 1858. Would like to know where and what she was doing in Cardiff and with whom in 1841 and 1851! Many thanks for your help! Regards Evie

Hello Nicola Thanks for your kind offer. I'd appreciate a look up in St Donat's Glamorgan for William and Mary Kemp. They were originally from minehead and Porlock in Somerset but settled in St Donat's. William was boen c1796 and Mary c1804. I'm particularly interested in checking if I have the names of all their children. William was an agricultural labourer. Thanks in advance for your time and effort. Debs
