Good Morning Tricia ... Firstly, can I just put the record straight .... last week, some of us had a problem trying to reply to MY thread on the board ..once you'd typed your message in and went to send ..it asked for a HEADING .as if you were putting a thread up ... so it was impossible to post to the board. Unfortunately, the same thing happened last night, one person couldn't reply on the board ... and sent e.mail direct, another .. who had replied on the board ... sent message to say so ! No one was wasting their time last night, it was just unortunate that I was busy on the 1837online and didn't ansa my mail and realise what was going off. It looks as if Sarah Elizabeth Warburton who died in '74 is mine then ..cos having checked the birth entries ... mine is the only Sarah E to be born at that time :-(( Now I have to find Mum Martha's death entry then .... I'm on at school this dinner ...so poss won't get alot done today. Thanks Tricia, your a god send!! Elaine :-) YES ..William Isaacs Thomasson IS Mine ..he's brother to Martha & Margaret Emma !!!!!!! ... but I had already found his marriage thanks ...waiting for 1901 Lancs to see exactly who he married ! There's also a James Joseph Thomasson as well he wasn't at home in '71.. any info on his demize or marriage ??? only joking ! |

Good morning - determined to beat those who Email direct and then us mugs get headaches doing the same work!!! Know the feeling, Sammy?? Anyway, when I can't find my relatives I always think 'dead' Sad, but true and many of mine to consumption. No good news yet....... Name: Warburton, Sarah Elizabeth Record Type: Deaths Age at death: 4 Quarter: June Year: 1874 District: Chorlton County: Lancashire Volume: 8c Page: 484 (click to see others on page) My theory, for what it is worth, is that Joshua married Martha because of you know who and they never lived together. Have you seen the entry for Joshua Warburton on 1881 aged 34 living at home with parents George and Charlotte, born in Manchester and status given as married??Living 5 Marsden St Chorlton on Medlock. Unfortunately he doesn't appear with them in 1871. Bit of a wide boy, methinks. Maybe he was out 'on his bike' most census nights?? Haven't found Martha after 1871 - knowing your lot she probably re-married - bit difficult to find because not an uncommon name. Will keep searching for now but back to work shortly. Cheers, Tricia P.S. Did you delete the other thread - couldn't find the one with the Warburtons on. Bit of a long shot because he's quite old but it is an unusual name Name: Thomasson, William Isaac Record Type: Marriages Quarter: September Year: 1900 District: Manchester (1837-1924) County: Lancashire Volume: 8d Page: 464 (click to see others on page) Quality Name Year Quarter District County Volume Page Locke, George 1900 September Manchester (1837-1924) Lancashire 8d 464 Smith, Rose Ellenor 1900 September Manchester (1837-1924) Lancashire 8d 464 Taylor, Alice 1900 September Manchester (1837-1924) Lancashire 8d 464 Thomasson, William Isaac 1900 September Manchester (1837-1924) Lancashire 8d 464 |

Address is 74, Platt St, Moss Side,Manchester. Can't find any others who fit the bill - there is a pilot - but think railway clerk has to clinch the deal! No children around. Isn't this fun, Tricia |

Sweet Smiley Sammy .... Sorry you have been pulling your hair out in wonder ;-) No, you haven't exactly been wasting your time due to anyone else except me ... I NEVER considered that Margaret may have died .. it never entered my head, I'm so sorry :-(( I am going to have a rest from this particular line of Thomasson's for a day or so ...they are driving me insane and obviously everyone else is suffering with me. It is so confusing, I have 2 Margaret Thomasson born 1 yr apart .. and 3 Martha Thomassons born within 3 years of each other, trying to get the correct ones on the correct branch is a nightmare and totally confusing. And to putthe cat amongst the pigeons now the Warburtons are coming into it as well .. as if I haven't enough Warburtons to keep me going for years ! Sorry Sammy, I just needed to get that off my chest !!!!!!!!! I'm sorry you have been put through all the waiting and not knowing . Love you ...;-) Elaine :-))) |

Sorry everyone, I was trawling 1837 looking for the first husbands death ... NOT found ?????????? It seems that a couple of you have been unable to post to the thread again ... same thing happened last week ..even I couldn't post. THANKS EVERYONE ... your all marvellous. Lets hope it lets me post this ! ELAINE !! :-))))))) |
