Susan. Great, thanks, I might be able to keep you busy alone!! Im looking for the birth of felicia or Phyllis Spittle born in Tipton. I have found 2 siblings on 1837, according to the 1881 census, she was born between the two. They are registered in Jan 1868 (Georgina Spitttle), and Dec 1870 John Spittle). I take that to mean she was born somewhere between (earliest) Sept 1868 and Mar 1870. She was 12 on 1881 (3rd April) census I hope this is not to wide a search. Pat

Susan, If you ever you get Tipton Dudley to yourself I would love a look up for my Evitts family who are the first Evitts I have found outside West Bromwich. Charles married in Tipton (Parish Church,Pepperbox)in 1866. Hope you reach your goal and offer some look ups here, I'll probably jump on it LOL Wish I could get near Sandwell (most of my lot came from there maybe next year). Good luck Pat x

Hello Susan, Could you help me with a birth/christening in Tipton please. I'm after Thomas Lee, born approx 1835, father William. If poss, I'd like his mother's name. Also, possibly in Dudley Jesse Morrall, app 1833/34, father William. Any help with either of these will be much appreciated. Thanks Helen

Hi Sue, I'm having trouble finding a birth/baptism for Elizabeth Walters. I have her marriage certificate for 1892 where it states that she was 19. On the 1881 census she is born in Sedgley, age 8 and on 1891 b Sedgley Spring Vale, age 18. Her parents were William and Mary Ann Walters but I can't find them either. In 1881 census William is 31 b Bilston and Mary Ann is 30 b Sedgley. In 1891 census he is 42 b Wolverhampton and his daughter Elizabeth is the housekeeper so although it says that he is married it looks as if Mary Ann might be dead by then. In the 1901 census he is a widower age 53, b West Bromwich. They might have married around 1871 judging by the age of their oldest child. All these areas seem really hard to find births, marriages or baptisms as they don't come under Staffs Records Office. I was wondering if they might be part of Sandwell or Dudley. If so, I would be extremely grateful for any info you could find on Elizabeth and her parents but I realise that's probably asking a lot! Don't worry if it's too difficult - needles in haystacks probably. Thanks in advance for any time you might spend on this. Jane
