Tammy Sorry but I do not think I am able to help with your lookup,I do not have access to any Lancashire records other than 1871. You would do better asking for a lookup on the board for the 1851 or 61 Lancashire census. Mary

Hi Mary After going to Oxford Records Office yesterday I have started to knock down some of my brick walls :-) I found my gggg Grandad (Thomas Tims) on the 1851 surname census index with his wife (Mary Tims). His Wife died in 1855 but he didnt die until 1868 (both were bured at Barford St John church so must have stayed in the area). I was wondering if you could see if you could find both of them on the 1841 and just him on the 1861, unfortunately I ran out of time. This is the info I have from 1851 surname index which may help you find them on the 1841 and 1861 :- Folio 148, Barford St John & St Michael Thomas Tims - Head - 62 years old - Ag Lab - Born Barford Mary Tims - Wife - 55 years old - Born Barford Elizabeth Tims - Daughter - 22 years old - Born Barford (The spelling of Tims seems to vary between Tims and Timms) Many thanks for any info you can find. Karen PS Also if its not too much trouble, could you tell me the address of where they lived in 1851 as the census index didnt say it just said Barford St Michael & St John, the folio page is 148. Many thanks once again, youve been a brilliant help with my family tree :-)

Thanks for looking Mary, Ann Shuker married Zachariah Foster in 1876, and I only have her in 1881 aged 46, I was just trying to find out if she had been married before, I'll have to send off for another cert. Many thanks. Belle.

Hello Mary, I would like an 1891 lookup, which will hopefully give me more clues to find them on 1901, I have found them on the 1881 census, and think the family should look something like this in 1891.(spelt duffitt on 1881) Frederick Duffett 40 born Southwark Sarah Duffett wife 38 born Southwark Frederick Duffett son 13 b Southwark William Duffett son 11 b southwark Annie was born in 1891. I think you'll find them around Southwark/Camberwell areas of London. Thank you so much for your time and help. Diane NSW Australia

Belle56 Report 2 Oct 2004 13:06

Hi Mary, could you find a Ann Shuker in 1871 for me please, she was around 36, and was born Market Drayton, Shropshire, but could have been living in Northamptonshire at the time. Many thanks, Belle.

hi Mary, thanks for second look-up for Annie Edmondson, i think this time you have found her, living with a Station Master , she married my uncle Daniel Sanford, 10/02/1897 at Poulton Le Sands, (just received Mar.Cert.) and he was railway signal man, you are right they are alusive to find, found them on 1901 census, they seem to have disapeared after this date. once again thanks. Roger
