hi all- you are all probably used to me whittering on about william randall walker ! [ eh elaine] tonight sally has found his birth ! i cannot believe it was on 1837 ! i am supposed to have searched that with a fine tooth comb ! i now know where he was born- which is more than he did ! can now order the correct b cert [ will i get a refund on the other 2 ?] can look on the 51 lancs, now i know where he was born ! so- it just shows - never give up ! first time i have had contact with sally- and bingo. so thankyou sally- eternally gratefull ! sue [a happy bunny. lol] |

hi sally- i am still smiling ! hi elaine- its chorley ! he was b 1846 ! why is your friday getting better ? what have you been upto ? looks like i am now still going to manchester- now i know where to look, i was having doubts before tonight . i am meeting denise on monday- a shame- she would have picked up the b cert for me if she wasnt coming so early ![ might tell her to get a later train- only joking denise if you see this - postman pat will have to do !] i still cannot believe i missed him on the 1837 ! i apologise william- for thinking you made up your middle name. lol. sue. |

hi maggy- took me ages to type the last message- am still giddy - hi- best breakthrough for ages -in fact ever- i bet elaine is now trawling through the chorley 51 , my 8 year old son thinks i have gone mad- my 24 year old son knows i am ! soz Sue ..I DID intend trawling Chorley ... but I'm winning at Harry Potter, so I'm a little tied up at the mo ...sorry kid ! Chamber of Screts on PC ... wicked! .. gives a break from trawling Census discs !!! specially when your beating your 9 yr old son who's been at it since last night ! hi elaine- am working all day tomorrow ! busy day too ! then have a week off -so will get him on the 51 next week, have just e mailed denise ! might let her get the b cert , she can post it to me - is too precious to lose ! cannot believe you are playing on harry potter ! my 2 [ hubby and 8 year old] are behind me on the 'posh' computer playing on 'rome' is very noisy and has lots of rotties on it ! lol sue. |

Hi Sue, have you come back down to earth yet? Someone found me Adam Allinson a long time ago, in Sheffield in 1841. With the family was an unknown female 14 days old. Have looked on 1837online and the only one that fits was called Ann, so have taken the plunge! Only problem is, I have sent straight to Sheffield Registrar, but have just seen on the news yesterday that the register office there has been knocked down, typical! Hope I don't have too long to wait. Maggy |

Congratulations Sue! You and I both know how elusive those Walkers are. Like you, I have had some success. A very kind person has found the birth for Joseph Benjamin Walker so now I can start to find him on the 1841 and 1851 censuses. At least we now know they really were born and not just the figment of someones imagination!! LOL |

hi russell [sorry - typing slow cos still grinning . lol]you know the problem ! jessica told me she loves being pregnant ! could be ages yet - i think its a ............. baby ! alan and i are not in agreement- he thought it was a girl- i still think a boy ! i know she was rather {!} large last time we saw her! let me know straight away- then we can go to the pub again. lol. elaine- order a tanker of the ' girls wanna have.... first baby - big p... drink. lol. maggy- did it really get knocked down ? how ? mind you- our shop in holmfirth got knocked down by a lorry full of alive chickens !so anything is possible ! teresa- why is it - every page you look on - there are a family of walkers ! i also have booths ! and sykes ! and thompsons ! i havnt even mentioned smiths- cos i really believe there are more walkers than smiths ! lol. sue still a very happy bunny- and sally - you are wonderfull ! sue. |

hi margaret- i am from dewsbury- but i work for an hospice- and it was one of our hospice shopsthat got damaged last year . oddly- i am meeting a gc member from manchester on monday in huddersfield, we are going to the library- and she is wanting the holmfirth parish records ! sue. |
