As his post is nearly 8 years old, I doubt that Ian will be looking for replies at this time

If you wish to try to make contact, click on his name, and send a message

If his e-mail remains unchanged, GR will attempt to notify him

Hi
do you know for sure if it is mary ann or mary anne
I can find 2 marriages
Mary ann traynor married to Alexander Fraser 1930 (she was aged 20) Holytown
or
Mary anne traynor married to William Rae 1936 (she was aged 22) glasgow

on the birth certificate there should also be an address - not the balornock road, that is now stobhill hospital there should be another address on it her usual place of residence

William Birth certificates can be ordered from the General Register Office once you have found the birth reference. This will be in the GRO indexes. You can either search 1837online which will cost, or look at the indexes free on microfiche at various libraries and records offices. nell

If you have the year and date of birth then it should be easy to find the birth certificate on 1837online (pay per view site). That will give you more details etc.
