Find Ancestors

Hello Could somebody please do me an 1891 look up please?? it's a bit of a longshot!! but it is for a James Rowles born in warrington would be aged around 80 years old!!! and also a Sarah Rowles born sanky bridge, lancs would be aged around 74 years old lived in manchester, i know that by 1891 they might have died cos of there ages!!! but could someone just have a look for me just incase they were still alive in 1891?? Also their daughter who is called sarah jane todd born in manchester, would have been aged around 40 years old in 1891, and is a widow. Much appreciated! Alison

Hi Alison, Are you "Alison with a Headache" ? Anyway, have you checked on FreeBMD and/or Ancestry for a possible death/s ... this is quicker than searching the census's ! ... but I will have a look in the meantime. Elaine :-)

There is an 80yr old James Rowles living down Brighton as a Pauper but he was born Windsor in Berkshire. Any connections with Brighton ? Elaine :-) Have you got them both still alive in 1881 ?

Will look on freebmd or ancestry for their deaths!!! what it is, is i'm trying to locate a child! on the 1891 census he is missing as he is not living with his mother or grandparents when he should be there aged around 4 years old!! so i'm just trying other possibilities as to where he might be!! just thought he might be living with these people!!! He is called Thomas Rowles and on the 1901 census he is aged 14! as i have found him on that but not having much luck finding him in 1891!!!

i wanted to see if anyone is lving with them? i was hopeing Thomas mght be with them!! yes they are both alive on the 1881 living witt their daughter sarah todd, a widow! Not heard of any connection with brighton!

Deaths Dec 1895 Rowles Sarah 79 Manchester 8d 197 I've NOT worked the age out yet ! ... but these are the only two Manchester deaths around the correct age... on FreeBMD. Maybe ..if Sarah had recently lost her husband .. she may not have felt like completing the census forms .. so she may not have registered in 1891 ... but I haven't checked for her yet. Elaine :-)

Did he have a brother called William, who is a year older?

The only 4 yr old Thomas Rowles is living with his parents, James & Alice with lots of siblings .. in Mill Cottage, Houghton where he was born. Will send Sarah's image Elaine :-)

I have a 5yr old Thomas living with William and Grandparents James and Ann Munt in Liverpool. I also have a 4yr old with Aunt Isabella Young in North Shields, Northumberland. Could either of these be yours?

I've just scanned all Sarah Todds aged 40 .. born in Lancashire and have scrutinized 5 of them as possibles, but no luck ... they are iether born wrong place or not married at all (just down as Head) ... none of them that I have checked have Thomas living with them. Maybe Tracy has found a very likely candidate ! Fingers Crossed Elaine :-)
