HI Marie The area you want isn't on the Middlesex cd I have. I checked bmdindex as bethnal green is on there and no Caron. I also checked Shoreditch st Leonard as I think after doing a google search Wellington Street was there. Closest I could get there was a Margaret CARLSON age 22 piece 233 page 36. Maybe someone with the census rather than just an index could check it. No mention of any Pierre's. Hope this helps Alison |

Hi Sophie I've spent quite a longtime today looking for Robert in Hillingdon and havenot found him. It is possible that as on the 1871 census it says he was born in Buckinghamshire that he may have been there in 1861. I dont know if you have the 1871 info but anyway. He was 31 born Iver, Buckinghamshire. He was married to Mary Ann 25 born Hillingdon. They were living in Starveall, Hillingdon they had the following children William 5 born Iver, Bucks, Elizabeth 4 Hillingdon, Sarah 2 born Harlington. Hope this helps Regards ALison |

Hi Alison- please could you see if there is any family at all with the name 'opas'- I have been told that Lewis Opas is not on the 1861, he was born in Poland c1848, but his son was born in Bethnal Green- There seems to be only a couple of families with this name on subsequent census returns- If you can find anyone at all with this name in 1861 I would be grateful- Trying to find out any relations to Lewis or at least establish that he was one of the first to come here after 1861 but before 1871- Also Alison if you can find Elizabeth Dodson age 13 born in Shoreditch that would be great- sorry alison- just noticed you need exact addresses which i don't have Thanks Simone |
