Find Ancestors

Is this census still being transcribed,as i keep coming across missing infomation that i know should be on, as its in the local library on their 1901 census Regards Mike

Michael, the trouble with 1901 is how you ask for the information. It has to match exactly how they have it the index. Tricky. Could be on the index place of birth Notts. but you might put Nottingham. I had a lot of trouble finding my lot they were there it was just how. I even resorted to first names ages and place of birth. It worked.

Hi Kate, It is the Pro site where i'm unable to access the information, yet i know it does exist because it is in the library,doesn't make sense,how many others is this happening to,people thinking relatives have suddenly dissappeared. Regards Mike

hi Rosemary This is the information obtained in the 1901 census at Liverpool records Office. John Warburton Head 38 Elizabeth " Wife 34 Charlotte " Dau 9 Elizabeth " " 6 Emily " " 2 I have not given every detail obtained the point being that the majority of people would have very little information when they do their initial searches. Their are others at the address which is No.1 Frank St, Liverpool. I also tried the address search and although i obtained Frank St , several were missing,No.1 being one of them Regards Mike

Something I came across by accident while searching the 1901 census. I was searching for a surname in Nottingham but left out one of the 't's ie: Notingham. I ended up with one match which of course didn't come up when I spelled the City's name correctly. Andrew

Please Janice, I had to go to the records office in Liverpool to find this info, i tried the pro site for 6 months to no avail,even now i can't get it on the site with all the info i have. I had originally tried ancestry i believe,wonder if they've updated in the last 6 months. Originally only had Charlotte to go on for a couple of months,couldn't locate her anywhere,keep trying the same sites,things are being updated. Government sites been a shock though,not the first time its happened,this is the one that should be 100%,the one you swear by,the Gospel. Thanks for the lookup Mike

Hi Jonathan How did you get the information,i've tried most NORMAL methods and had no responce. Don't forget untill i went the Record Office i never had at least 90% of the infomation i have now given you to search,and unfortunately thats about the same as most people have when they try possibly with similar results,its a Government Site it should be 100% Regards Mike
