This might be a silly suggestion but if he was on the stage he may have been written down by his stage name either deliberately or by accident. Did he have a stage name? |

can you help with this brick wall of mine? My grandfather is an Horace Albert L Davison b1878, Kings Lynn, Norfolk. I have his bc, and I see him in 1881 Kings Lynn, 1891 Lincoln. Thats it, no sign of him in 1901. Tried all the usual variants to the point of ridiculousness ! He next manifests himself by fathering a child back in Nottingham in 1907, then my dad in 1909. He switches his christian names around on both these BCs. No marriage record to grandma Eva or Elizabeth Turner (whose bc I also have as Elizabeth M) and a final son in 1911 - Lincs. Cant find a death record either w/o spending a fortune on 1837Online ... really wish I'd spoken to the folks a bit more ... Maybe I should mention his profession in 1907 is 'professional conjurer' .. I found my other grandfather finally by shotgunning Haywards across the whole country and there he was in 1901 in Chelsea, but with his birthplace missing altogether in the image. Definately him, unique middle name.... Would really appreciate a fresh set of eyes on this one. Many thanks in anticipation. |
