Find Ancestors

I have Cumberland 1841 census. Not indexed so will need as much info as possible. Parish/town or village, street will be a bonus. Age in 1841 - (please do not give year of birth) It will be a slow process so be patient with me. Some pages are missing some are unreadable but I will do my best.

Pauline, Do you have Maryport on your census? I have some THOMPSON ancestors from there. There would be Joseph (a mariner) and Jane, not sure of their ages, but the children would be: Jane 7yrs (b.1833) Elizabeth 4yrs (b.1836) Joseph 2yrs (b.1838) Wilson baby 2 or 3 months (b.1840) Would appreciate a lookup, but don't worry if you can't find them! Pauline No rush - I know how long these things can take and much appreciate your efforts. My gg-gmother Sarah Scott was baptised in Maryport in Jan 1841 and a brother in Dec 1842, so they should have been thereabouts.

Thanks for your kind offer. Could you check for a Thomas Hall Farmer aged 47/48 at Catlands Bolton Cumberland. He should be with a Jane aged 41 and children Isaac, Thomas and Martin. Also a Joseph and Betty Clark at Raughton head. They'd be 70ish if still alive. No problem if you are swamped. Thank you Peter

Pauline, I hpoe you are still offering lookups on the 1841 of cumberland. I am looking for john Walton aged 4 years. livnig in Nenthead or Alston. I believe there were two born the same year and i am having dificulty seperating them, I believe that the one i am looking for appears in the 1851 living at 1851 Donks Hall, Nenthead:- WALTON, Hannah (nee RIDLEY) hd, widow, 59 & Robert son 34 retired miner; Hannah dau. 29; Ridley son 22 lead miner; John son 19; George son 16; & John nephew 14. Ridley married 1854 Elizabeth STOUT. Robert WALTON married 10.7.1813 (Alston) Hannah RIDLEY Regards Angus.
