long shot! my great great grandmother was Louisa A Bate, and was born in 1829 and from the census it looks like ILMINGTON, Warackshire - Bate was her maried name so it makes it even harder but not sure of size of villag or if you can search by christian name? cheers Alasdair

Hello All I have tried to look for several people on the census, but it is very hard to notice people as you scroll through the areas on the computer and can't seem to find anything relevant. I don't want to disappoint anybody by saying I can't find them when they are actually there. Therefore what I am doing it trying to do is transcribe the list areas of Warwickshire, once I have done certain areas I will hopefully send it to Freecen.rootsweb.com so anybody who wants to search can look from themselves. On this website they have already transcribes certain areas of Warwickshire in 1841. Whilst I am going through if I do come accross any names that you have asked about I will let you know. Sorry Karen

i admit ive already asked this but not had a reply yet so can i ask you and delete it from the other older thread?? if not ignore what ive put below john collins b 1812 gt malvern worcestershire but his daughter sarah was born in bimingham warwickshire in 1845 so he may have been in warwickshire in 1841 as he wasnt in worcestershire in'41....this of course might be enough info but i thought id risk an ask of you kaz (waffling i know)

Nancy Report 18 Feb 2005 22:23

Hi Karen, Thanks for your kind offer. I wonder if Headless Cross comes under Warwickshire in 1841? It changes with every census. Have looked on PROCAT but it doesn't list Headless Cross in 1841. It might be in the Alcester part of the census. I'm looking for Thomas Duggins (1816) with parents Thomas and Elizabeth. Many thanks. Regards, Nancy.

Hello I have a copy of the 1841 Warwickshire census, if anyone wants me to look up anything just let me know. *Sorry I have found it very hard to find any name in the census and it is taking too much time so I won't be able to look any more. But I have just found out that the 1841 Warwickshire census has been transcribe and is just being checked through before being put on the freecen.rootsweb website. This will be more accurate.* Thanks Karen
