Yesterday found out about my gt and gt gt grandparents on my maternal side. All the info comes off of Brth, Death or marriage certs so know it is right. Laird Glad its not just me that cant find him he was definitely around in 1900 as he signed their marriage cert. If helps any Jane the mothers maiden name was Akhurst and when George and Florence got married it was in essex. Dawn

Cant find yer maun Silvanus in 1901 tho - is the surname spelled as you have typed it - double S, double T ?

Laird Never know may have been brothers as mine would of been 35 in 1871. Still can't find him apart from in 1901. Perhaps they don't want to be found. Dawn

Laird Spelt FOSSETT thats how it is on Florences' birth cert and on the marriage cert and 1901 census. Could be transcribed differently I suppose. He is annoying me now as I can't find him. Dawn

Laird That Benjamin King Fossett is his brother have now found his parents and siblings and four of the boys had King as the middle name and one of the girls had Gardner as middle name. Also born in Surrey not Kent as he put on 1901 census. Doesn't help finding him I know but at least I can add that link. Dawn
