Thank you for this kind offer. I have just managed to get the 1901 Ireland Census for this family and one of the sons is missing. I think he may have been in the army and was possibly in England at the time. So, if not too much trouble, could you see if an Edward Nutter, born Ireland c1881, turns up anywhere in England at 1901 (if he does, it may help me know who else he was with at the time). Much appreciated.

Hi Margaret, Yes you were right, he was in the barracks in Aldershot along with 619 others :) Showing as N Battery, Royal Horse Artillery. Do you want his section of the image sending to you, I'm guessing it will be quite a few pages if you want the whole lot. Hi Ted, I can't see any with his wife in the Lancs area. There is a Thomas with a wife of another name, a Thomas living alone in a cellar, a Thomas in lodgings. I'll try checking other areas if you like, though I think the best thing would be to find the marriage first Regards Ann

Were any of those one living in the cellar and the other in a lodging house? were any of them or both of them born in MANCHESTER? of not then dont bother looking any further. Sorry can't pin James Starr down exactly. Best match for 1891 has him in some sort of school aged 14 as James Henry Starr but the place opf birth is incorrect, ther is another James but he is in Yorks. Regards Ann
