Sorry, Isobel, should have put Morgan, but Iwas still at fault for not retaining everything as it was actually the family you had kindly posted. Was there any places of births for the children? |

Hi, Sorry for the delay. Was trying to find my 1871 paper work on them as there was a John Murray lodging in Durham with Michael and Susan. He, too was a shoemaker, but was 60, but still a coincedence. Did anyone find any more info on the Michael and Patrick that Lou found on the index? Thank you everso much for all your help. |

Oh, my goodness, I only left the pooter for a minute! Just going to plough through the replies and se what I can make of the replies. Thank you all so much for your hard work. Isobel: They were in Co. Durham by 1861, and don't come back to Liverpool until 1881 when they're in Tithebarn st. |

Hi, Isobel, Didn't mean to sound offended was trying to keep 10month old under control while typing, only just re read it and realised I sounded abrupt! I think I may have to try and get the cert, maybe a bit trial and error with Morgan as a surname, and John as a forename, lol. |

I know the 51 is Partial as I do indexing, sorry to offend you,but only meant what evidence did you have for thinking they were in Liverpool, but as you,ve pointed out there was a sibling born in 52,wouldnt it make more sense to send for his certificate then you will get an address. |

I was under the impression that there was a partial name index for the Liverpool 1851, or I wouldn't of been audacious enough to request a look up. Of course I don't know for sure that they were in Liverpool at this time but in the 1861 Michael has a sibling born in Liverpool in 1852, so I wouldn't have said expecting them to be in Liverpool in 1851 is too far fetched. As there is no name index yet for 51 how do you know theyre in Liverpool at this time, you would need an address or area at least as Liverpool covers a lot of discs. |

I would be very grateful for a lookup on the 1851 Liverpool census if any one has the name index, as I have no addresses. I am looking for a Susan Murray, aged 7, born in Ireland, Father Michael [possibly masquerading as John, lol] who was a shoemaker. Susan also had a brother, Peter who would be abt 4. Also looking for Michael Morgan, aged 12, born Ireland. His Father was Patrick. Many thanks for any help. |
