How about this Sabaoth so curiosity got the better of me i just had to look at the record. her name is Sarah Lees. the So bit came from the dittos ie Do!! Also came across Wrong C Shirt. I agreed with the reading of Shirt but his first name was Wright! lol Brenda

Elaine - I'm mystified as to why you can't notify the mistranscriptions from the link on the ancestry page. I've not come across any lately but there never used to be a problem - have ancestry been fiddling again?? My only bugbear is that you have to notify each family member individually as ancestry can't do joined up thinking.

Hi Babz, I was hoping they would use their common sense ... and change all the names .... Maybe we should go for the Head of the house instead of the person we find ? ... then hopefully all the 'ditto' or 'Do's would follow on. Good point Babz ! I'm wondering should we put every person in the family who's name is mistranscribed? or do you think they will use their common sense and rectify ALL the names if we don't add them to this list. I have found, quite a few 'mistranscriptions' from Ancestry, during the last year or so, ... I can't let Ancestry know ... but maybe someone else has the ability to ? I thought, that as and when we come across them, add them to this list ... and some kind soul would be able to forward them on to the proper place. Any takers ? I'll add the one I have just found, to get the ball rolling. Ancestry need EVERY name of the family that is Mistranscribed ... see Rosemary & Jools helpful advice below. Elaine :-)
